The Ministry of Energy, in partnership with the Embassy of Ireland, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), is implementing the Women in Sustainable Energy (WISE) Scholarship Programme to strengthen women's participation and leadership in Tanzania's energy sector. The Programme provides fully funded Master's scholarships in Sustainable Energy Engineering at DIT, equipping talented young women with advanced technical knowledge, practical skills, and leadership competencies. Since its launch in 2023, WISE has supported 45 scholars across three cohorts, contributing to a growing cadre of skilled female professionals driving Tanzania's sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient energy transition.
